Demagogues on the right and left often refer to Facebook and Twitter as "monopolies." The right especially wants to characterize them this way because they are the chief target of Big Tech censorship.
Now, no one despises Facebook and Twitter's woke totalitarianism more than I. But, contrary to the grumblings of even some libertarians, they are private companies. And yes, that means they have a right to censor or exclude from their property anyone they wish.
Luckily, they're not "monopolies" either. Not even close. They have lots of competitors and I have established profiles on all of the most popular among them. I've also dutifully posted my content to these platforms despite having pitifully few followers.
