The artist formerly known as Kanye West has escalated his nuttiness. He told Alex Jones, "I like Hitler" and "the Holocaust is
not what happened. Let's look at the facts of that. Hitler has a lot of redeeming qualities," among other sage pronouncements.
The outrage industry is eating it up. This is just more evidence of the "growing fascist movement" in America and around the
world, they tell us. Every good and virtuous person must condemn these hateful ideas.
I probably don't have to tell you, dear reader, that I don't agree with Kanye's lunatic ramblings. But, for the record, I am
against Naziism.
Wasn't that brave of me?
The truth is the horrors of the 20th century occurred because the kinds of things Kanye is saying weren't considered crazy at
all in the first half of the 20th century - and I don't mean just in Germany. Antisemitism and other forms of bigotry were mainstream, expressed by presidents and kings.
I talk about this and much more on today's episode of Tom Mullen Talks Freedom.
