I'm dipping my toes in the red ripple. I was supposed to be submerged by a red wave, but it didn't happen.
This is a bad thing to me, not because I have much love for the Republicans, but because government grows the least with a Democratic president and a Republican Congress. Let's hope the GOP at least gets the house.
However, I think this GOP failure at a time when inflation is raging and the
Biden administration nevertheless pursues its mad Green agenda and Ukraine lend lease proves once and for all the GOP is a dying party.
Every presidential election, a Republican win depends upon the electoral college. That's not to say there shouldn't be one, but it shouldn't be your only path to victory. Outside a few examples like Florida, red states are getting bluer and it's hard to imagine the GOP even being able to win the House 20 years from now.
Part
of this is demographic, part is immigration, but overall I believe it is because the Republican Party and the conservative worldview in general is uninspiring. America wasn't founded as a conservative republic but a libertarian one. The conservatives were big government people like Hamilton who wanted to preserve the British mercantilist system albeit run by themselves.
Not much has changed in 246 years. I break it down in today's episode of Tom Mullen Talks Freedom.
There is additional reading to back up this argument on the show notes page. Bottom line: if Americans continue to look to the GOP as the only alternative to the Commieprog regime, the latter will be around for a long, long time.
It's time for a new liberty party. Listen here.
As always, thank you to all of you supporting my efforts here at Tom Mullen Talks Freedom.
