It's beyond bizarre that most days I have to do a web search to find articles on Ukraine. This after March - April when there was literally no news on anything else "above the fold" on any national news website.
Remember all those weeks when we were supposed to believe Ukraine was winning the war and Zelensky was a defiant hero? I guess after that $54 billion was handed out to Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. there was no more need to spend so many resources on marketing.
How can anyone take American media seriously?
Interestingly, Foreign Policy (the publication put out by the evil Council on Foreign Relations) recently put out an article critical of Ukraine's treatment of civilian men, who are literally being held prisoner in their home districts to ensure they're available for
conscription when the government calls their number.
The latest headlines from DC Imperial mouthpieces (and British MI6) say Russia may be "running out of steam." I doubt it, but we'll see.
Obviously, it's almost impossible to discern what's really going on in this war, given that American media is completely unreliable and Russian media is at least as bad as any other country's during wartime. To try to make some sense of the propaganda from all sides, I had the privilege of speaking with Scott Horton on today's episode of Tom Mullen Talks Freedom.
For many of you, Scott needs no introduction. But for newcomers, Scott is the libertarian foreign policy expert par excellence. He wrote the best book on the Afghanistan War yet written and absolutely trounced arch neocon Bill Kristol in an Oxford-style debate.
And when I say, "trounced," I mean he actually had me feeling sorry for Kristol by the end. It was glorious.
So don't miss today's podcast and check out the show notes page for links to Scott's books and websites, including Antiwar.com and the Libertarian Institute.
