You've heard them all. Most of us have at one time believed at least some of them. From the staggeringly obtuse, "Who would build the roads?" to the more thoughtful, "How could property be secured without a universally-accepted set of rules?" there are no end to the excuses for why we must have a state - and therefore why it must have its tentacles into everything.
Well, if there is any aspect of those arguments you find compelling or even just don't feel solid enough to refute, I have great news.
Keith Knight has smashed them all. And he didn't even have to write a word to do it. Instead, he's brought together a collection of some of the greatest arguments for the voluntary society every written into one, outstanding volume called, The Voluntaryist Handbook: A Collection of Essays, Excerpts, and Quotes.
I had a chance to discuss it with Keith on today's episode of Tom Mullen Talks Freedom. We got a chance to go through just a few of the excellent chapters in this book. You'll want to get a copy and read the rest.
No matter how well-grounded you are in libertarian principles, you'll find arguments here that add to your acumen. I certainly did.
